THE PIECES
I make all my work by hand from slabs, coils, and pinching, instead of using the wheel for throwing. The pieces are therefore one-of-a-kind, showing the maker's hand with imperfections, finger marks and individuality.
I work with white and brown stoneware and use commercial glazes and glazes mixed in the cooperative studio where I work. All pieces are food and dishwasher safe.
Please allow 6-8 weeks for shipment. If I have pieces in stock, I can ship immediately. But if I need to make them, this can take time, especially in a cooperative studio where I do not have control over when firings happen.
SHIPPING
Determining shipping/handling rates is challenging because MyBig Cartel doesn't figure the rates automatically, and rates vary depending on weight of a piece, distance shipped, combined weight of pieces in an order, and size of box! Because of this, you may find changes over time as I get closer to the best solution.
If you live in FRANKLIN or HAMPSHIRE county in Massachusetts, or can get there to arrange to pick up, choose Customer Pick Up at check out for no shipping charge.
PRIVACY
My shop is hosted by MyBigCartel which uses Stripe for payment, a secure site using SSL which keeps internet connections secure and safeguards any sensitive data -- credit card numbers, etc. -- being sent between two systems.
SALES TAX
Sales tax is automatically calculated by Big Cartel according to local, state, and federal tax laws based on my location, and yours.
